Setting the Record Straight on Housing

There's been a bit of chatter online about social housing being built on our site. We want to put it plainly: there are no plans to build housing of any kind here - not now, not down the line.

As one local rightly pointed out, you don't fit 38 new windows, 19 new doors and put fresh roofs on a building you're planning to knock down. We've spent over a million pounds bringing this place back to life as a club. That should tell you everything about where we're headed.

We think we know where the mix-up came from. Our background is in software - we built and sold computer systems used by housing organisations around the country. So "Trent" and "housing" have come up in the same breath before, and somewhere along the line that got turned into "they're building houses." We're not. The software business is a completely separate thing, and this site is a club - a bar, a function room and a place for the community, exactly as we've said from the start.
